Project summary:
The aim of the project is to increase the tourist potential in the cross-border region by renovating the municipal community centers and preserving the local cultural traditions. Specific objectives of the project are: rehabilitation of the community center in the village of Sekirnik, Bosilovo, rehabilitation of the community center in the village of Ribnovo, Garmen and better tourist services. The main results are: - rehabilitated municipal buildings: at the community center in the village of Sekirnik and the building of the community center in the village of Ribnovo, with improved energy efficiency; - fully equipped community center in the village of Ribnovo with technological equipment for creation of an exhibition of the local cultural tradition in the cross-border region - the custom "Wedding in Ribnovo"; - held a folklore festival in the cross-border region for presentation of local traditions and culture; - developed new tourism products to increase opportunities to attract tourists; - established partnerships in the field of tourism.
The renovated public infrastructure has become a place for future tourism and cross-border cooperation and provided significant opportunities for many programs, festivals, events, seminars on cultural and historical heritage, sustainable development, environmental protection, regional identity, etc.
