The Europe in My Region [1] 2017 campaign starts today in 25 countries of the European Union. The information campaign follows the Council Conclusions "Making Cohesion Policy more effective, relevant and visible to our citizens [2]" and aims to encourage citizens to visit or take note of EU-funded projects, and share images and experiences via social media.

This year’s activities are organized within four initiatives:

• project openings [3] (mainly in May);
• photo contest [4] (from 2 May to 28 August);
• project hunt [5] (from 2 May to 15 June);
• blogging contest [6] (from 2 May to 28 August).

The European commission has prepared a dedicated communication toolkit [1] to download and customize communication materials (including posters, campaign photos, etc.).

All citizens are encouraged to take part in the campaign and promote the above initiatives, also by including the hashtag #euinmyregion in all social media posts.
